TRAU 8011 - Cultural Competence in Trauma Therapy Credit Hours: 1
This course explores the critical role of cultural competence in trauma treatment, providing students with the knowledge and skills needed to deliver effective, sensitive, and inclusive care to individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. Students will examine how cultural identity, beliefs, and values shape trauma experiences and recovery, with a focus on the impact of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, socioeconomic status, and other identity factors.
Prerequisite: Graduate degree in mental health field. Corequisite: None
