BIOL 3313 - Animal Nutrition and Feeding Credit Hours: 3
This course will introduce students to all aspects of nutrition for domestic animals, from fundamentals of nutrition through feeds and feeding. The course will include an in depth study of nutrients and their classification, digestion, metabolism, physiological functions and deficiency symptoms. Through characterization of feedstuffs, and exporation of diet formulations students will explore the factors that influence nutrient requirements of different species for health, growth, metabolism, and reproduction.
Prerequisite: Two of the following: BIOL 1114 or BIOL 1124 or BIOL 2105 or CHEM 1104 or instructor permission Offered: Spring odd years Modality: In-Person
