Biology Program Outcomes
Students will be able to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of key biological principles at sub-cellular, cellular, and systems levels
- Design, implement, and analyze an experiment to address a biological question
- Identify and discuss role of faith in understanding the created order (the environment, humans, and communities) and its stewardship
- Communicate scientific findings through written and oral methods consistent with professional scientific standards
- Demonstrate professional skills necessary for entering into graduate programs and/or scientific careers

Requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Biology
Students desiring to pursue a career in biology or the health sciences that require graduate school, professional school, or specialized training programs such as biotechnology and medical technology should consider this degree option. All students wishing to enter medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or biomedical laboratory positions should obtain a Bachelor of Science degree.
Major Requirements: 65-67 Hours
Total Hours in Biology: 37 Hours
Required Supporting Disciplines (28-30 Hours)
Total Hours in Supporting Disciplines: 28-30 Hours
Electives: 13-19 hours
