Learning Objectives:

Students who satisfactorily complete the major in Criminal Justice will:

Demonstrate basic knowledge and skills in understanding criminal behavior in the context of American society.
Identify a variety of approaches to dealing with the criminal population.
Describe the major processes at work in the criminal justice system.
Articulate a Christian response of restoration and rehabilitation for those who break society’s laws.
Qualify for professional employment or continued study at the graduate level in the field of Criminal Justice.

Requirements for the Bachelor of Art in Criminal Justice

To complete a major in criminal justice all students must complete a series of core courses totaling 30-33 credit hours. In addition to the required core courses, criminal justice majors must also take a minimum of 12 additional hours of criminal justice elective courses for a total of 42 credit hours.
