This program provides a strong foundation in public administration, leadership, and management, with courses covering law, budgeting, personnel, ethics, and organizational behavior. Students are also able to integrate prior college credits, training, or professional certifications that are career-focused to complete the degree, creating a flexible pathway tailored to career goals. Graduates are prepared to lead effectively in government, nonprofit, and public service settings.

Degree Requirements

  • A total of 90 semester hours
  • A total of 30 hours in residence:
    • With at least 15 of the final 30 hours in residence, or
    • With at least 15 hours residency in the major
  • A cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above
  • A grade at or above a “C-” for all courses in the major.
  • Twenty-seven (27) semester hours of upper division courses (3000 and 4000 level courses)
  • Completion of 30 hours of general core courses, which must include MATH 1103: Intermediate Algebra
  • Participation in one University-sponsored Leadership Symposium Event
  • Completion of the Peregrine exam, a national standardized test, administered to all students majoring in an ACBSP accredited program
