BLIT 3403 - The Gospels: Biographies of Jesus

Credit Hours: 3

This course focuses on the biographies of Jesus. The course will feature exegetical study of Matthew, Mark, and John, with attention given to their context, literary structure, and theological message. It will also introduce some of the main issues in academic discussions of these writings, so that students can utilize commentaries and other academic resources in future study and gain competency in interpreting the Bible within their contemporary contexts.

Prerequisite: Biblical Interpretation
Offered: Spring, every 4 years
