A course that includes wide reading among the best of contemporary and classic literature selections read by young adults–in school and out. Other topics may include: criteria for choosing books for middle level, junior and senior high school students; motivating readers; literary discrimination and appreciation; censorship; ethnic literature; and presentation techniques.
