The Minor in Addictions Studies uses an interdisciplinary approach from the areas of Psychology, Physiology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, and Social Work to provide students with a Biblical, Christian approach to addressing personal, family, and social problems associated with addictions. This minor fosters critical thinking and ethical practices in addressing addiction-related issues, equips students with specific skills and Biblical principles necessary for becoming effective interventionists in the areas of assessment, intervention, and treatment of addictions. It will help students serve their community and the world through compassionate service with an ability to critically analyze and thoughtfully develop holistic solutions to complex, systemic problems.
