CHEM 4801 - Chemistry Research Credit Hours: 1
This course allows the student to work on a project in chemistry related to the overall research goals of the instructor. In-lab emphasis will be focused on learning experimental techniques and skills specific to the area of study and the project, and on completion of the project. Out-of-lab emphasis will be placed on reading the scientific literature, summarizing journal articles, writing research reports, and showcasing results in the form of a presentation or poster.
Prerequisite: Permission of Instructor Notes:
- Each credit hour of research taken translates to three hours of work in the lab per week.
- A student may not take more than 3 credit hours of chemistry research during any one semester.
- There is no limit to the number of semesters that this course may be taken.
