EDUC 4643 - Methods Of Teaching Secondary Mathematics

This course is a study of secondary curriculum standards within and across mathematical domains, of research-based instructional strategies, of the instructional use of mathematics-specific technological tools, and of the development and interpretation of formative and summative assessments. Teacher candidates will use resources from professional mathematics organizations to inform practice and to develop a habit of reflecting on teaching effectiveness. A practicum experience is included.
