EDUC 6445 - Teaching And Learning II - Exceptional Learner Credit Hours: 3
The focus of this course and practicum is to help teacher candidates develop a tool kit to techniques and methodologies used to meet the needs of exceptional learners. Additionally, this course is designed to help candidates continue building upon skills and dispositions of effective teaching practices. Candidates will use IEP examples to create learning environments that consider individual learner characteristics to assess and look for ways to implement technology that effectively plans and implements successful instructional practices. Finally, candidates will learn how to partner with and build relationships with families, agencies, and other professionals using ethically and culturally responsive ways to effectively communicate and collaborate in the development and implementation of IEPs to fully meet the needs and rights of all students.
