PHED 3213 - Foundations Of PE, Recreation, And Sport

Credit Hours: 3

This course will look at the common and specialized content and the scientific and theoretical foundations for the delivery of an effective preK-12 physical education program. Foundational principles of the philosophy and history of physical education, recreation and sport with the growing career opportunities available within these fields will also be studied. Preparation for a diversity of careers, addressing areas such as teaching, coaching, recreation management, athletic and personal training, and sport media will be examined.
