The programs offered in the School of Nursing blend cooperative education experiences with highly innovative curricula and faculty. The learning environments are student-centered and encourage students to actively pursue the best courses of action in hypothetical and actual situations. Students are prepared to become effective professional practitioners, enter graduate school, and seek or maintain employment in the nursing field. The mission of the School of Nursing programs is to educate and inspire servant leaders for ministry in professional nursing practice.

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program offers three distinct pathways to earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), allowing students to choose the program that best fits their needs and career goals. Each track provides a rigorous, student-centered education that prepares graduates for the NCLEX-RN® and a rewarding career in nursing.

  1. Traditional BSN (TBSN) The Traditional BSN is a four-semester program completed over two years. This program provides a comprehensive nursing education with in-person instruction and clinical experiences.
  2. Hybrid BSN (HBSN) The Hybrid BSN is an 18-month program that blends online and on-site instruction for a flexible learning experience. Students attend on-site instruction two days per week while completing coursework in eight distinct modules.
  3. Accelerated BSN (ABSN) The Accelerated BSN is an intensive 12-month program designed for self-motivated students with previous college coursework and/or healthcare experience, such as LPNs or MITC students. The curriculum is delivered through a mix of on-site, online, and hybrid instruction across six distinct modules.

The Master of Science in Nursing Program prepares nurse leaders for advanced roles in Healthcare Administration and Quality and Nursing Education.  MSN graduates guide, direct, and educate others on the provision of professional nursing care. These graduates evaluate education, administration, and quality systems to incorporate research findings into evidence-based practice.  The impact of national and international policy and events are studied so that graduates can respond to nursing and health care needs on a local to international level both now and in the future. These leaders are also competent in scholarship, critical thinking and cultural diversity and will continue to grow as servant leaders striving for personal and professional excellence.

  1. Healthcare Administration and Quality prepares nurse leaders to apply leadership and management skills as well as designed to educate nurses on how to evaluate quality systems.
  2. Nursing Education prepares educators for academic and hospital settings.
  3. Masters of Science in Nursing and Masters of Business Administration, dual degree prepares nurses who wish to pursue both an MSN degree in Healthcare Administration and a Masters of Business Administration.
