Biology Program Outcomes

Students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate knowledge of key biological principles at sub-cellular, cellular, and systems levels
  2. Design, implement, and analyze an experiment to address a biological question
  3. Identify and discuss role of faith in understanding the created order (the environment, humans, and communities) and its stewardship
  4. Communicate scientific findings through written and oral methods consistent with professional scientific standards
  5. Demonstrate professional skills necessary for entering into graduate programs and/or scientific careers

Requirements for the Bachelor of Art in Biology


Students desiring a broad experience in biology should consider this degree option. Students planning careers in wildlife biology, biological interpretative work, natural history programs, health-related vocations, or seeking generalized biological training may find this program most adaptable to their needs. The Bachelor of Arts degree may not provide the required courses for admission to graduate or professional schools.
