Objectives:

  2. To provide a foundation for graduate and medical study.

Requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Chemistry


Students desiring a very focused experience in chemistry should consider this degree, while those desiring a more multidisciplinary degree should consider the B.A. in chemistry. Those who pursue the B.S. in chemistry will take all upper division chemistry courses offered, including 1 year of chemistry research. Students who pursue this degree will have career or education options including but not limited to: graduate school in chemistry, professional school (medical, pharmacy, dental, veterinary, or other), or industry research careers (pharmaceutical, agricultural, analytical or bioanalytical, organic, biochemistry or biochemical work, or forensic chemistry and forensics).

General Education: 42-50 Hours


Bachelor of Science (Natural and Computer Sciences)  

Required Supporting Disciplines (17 Hours)


Applied Capstone Experience (5 Hours)


Complete Three Hours from the Following Courses:

Electives: 16-24 Hours


Total Hours: 126 Hours
